Dodatkowe info:

Powód do dumy: Byłam na okładce Playboya w lutym 2011 i poznałam ciężko pracującego Hugh Hefnera

Życiowa inspiracja: Moja matka to moja inspiracja.

Życie w północnym New Jersey zakorzeniło we mnie miłość do bycia poza domem.

Powód bycia w grze: To ulubiony program mojej mamy. Oglądałyśmy go odkąd miałam 10 lat.

Planuję użyć tych cech, by dojść do końca.

"Irytują ją: nieuczciwi ludzie, kłamcy."

O- ooł. Nie zapominajmy, że to Survivor.

"Zawodnik, do którego się porównuje: Jane. Walczy o swoje i nie zapomina o swoich wartościach moralnych."

Facepalm.

To najpaskudniejszy charakter, jaki widziałem w Survivor, a ta Mikayla wygląda przynajmniej sympatycznie.

Insider odcinek 1

Ready For Challenges
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bFcmLCH4mc

With her background in the Lingerie Football League, Mikayla is confident that she will do well in challenges.

"My name's Mikayla. I'm 21. I now live in Tampa, Florida, originally from New Jersey. I bartend and also play in a professional woman's football league. "

(cut)

"The women's league I play in is the Lingerie Football League. It's a woman's competitive, full tackle, 30 by 50 arena. It's full tackle, You name it, we hit it just as hard as the guys in the big leagues."

(cut)

"I grew up playing sports. I played basketball, softball, and soccer. So this league right here was a godsend for me."

(cut)

"There's 20 girls in a team. We are known as the Lingerie Football League Ladies, or the Tampa Breeze Girls."

(cut)

"Being a bartender is really gonna help me in this game, I think, because you see people in every state of mind, whether they're drunk, they're sober, they're happy, they're sad, they have friends, they don't have friends. You have to deal with them. You have to make them happy, because if they're not happy, they're gonna leave. Their tips are gonna pay your bills. Just seeing people and having to be their friend and finding something in common and find something to communicate with them about is really gonna help me in this game."

(cut)

"Off the bat, I'm not gonna go full out in every challenge. I don't wanna be seen as a huge physical threat, as a female. I don't want to put a target on my head right to begin with. I'm probably gonna lay somewhat in the mix with them, but I think when it comes down to it and individual immunity comes into play, I'll be going balls to the wall with everything. There's gonna be no holding back. But to start with I'm gonna lay low in the challenges, physically."

(cut)

"I think I do have a little head start in some of these challenges. I think just from being on a field, you never know what's gonna happen. Something say, I drop something in a challenge, I've already thought of a way to pick it up fast, regain my balance, already get going. In a game you never know what's gonna happen, you're ready for 4 different things to happen. In this game I think I'll be ready for whatever comes at me."

(cut)

"In this game, I think I have a very good chance of winning. I do think I have some tendencies that I watched in this past season, somewhat of Boston Rob, to kinda relax with people, but behind the scenes, these wheels are just turning in my head. I'm thinking of every next move I'm gonna make, if I'm talking to somebody, I'm thinking of something else. I think I have a really good chance. As I said before, physically, mentally, I'm there for it. Socially is probably gonna be the hardest part, trying to keep everybody together, trying to keep everybody from starting new ties here and there. I've just gotta be on top of everybody, I think, and then I'll be good."

(cut)

"Winning Survivor does come with the million dollar check, which I would be thrilled to have. Moving down here was hard, having to keep a job to keep a roof over my head. When football came about, it was even hard to keep a job and keep what I have going. Going to school's been a really hard thing for me to keep up. First thing I'd do with it is finish college. I want to have a degree. It's always something to fall back on. I also want to help my family up north. My mom's worked hard, she's a single mom, and I think it's about time she gets to relax. Take care of my little sisters for a little while for her, and help out with the family big time."

(cut)

"We know there's going to be 2 people returning. Of course I didn't want any of them returning, but it's going to help out shelter-wise, because they've been here before, they know what works, doesn't work. I'm looking forward to that part. When it comes back to the social game, it's going to be a pain, because they know what worked for them last time and what didn't. They know how to twist. Look at Boston Rob last year. He knew exactly what to do. Having somebody like that who is smart and has everything set out like that, it's gonna be rough to work with."

(cut)

"Coming into this game, I do have a strategy. What I'm gonna do, I'm probably gonna team up with somebody of the opposite sex. A guy. I'm gonna have the guy kind of round up the boys. The guy and I are going to go one and two to the end together, we're gonna stick to our guns, we're each gonna drag in 2 or 3 people with us, have them be a little group, or think it's all girls or all guys. We're gonna feel it out. Have them team up on each other. We're gonna try to run the show here. If something's happened, we're gonna roll with the punches. After the merge, we'll try to stick together as a solid group, then just try to whittle down the other tribe, and take it from there."

(cut)

"Coming into this game, I am single. I'm most likely going to use my flirting to lure guys in and follow what ideas I have. I am kind of a tomboy, so getting me to flirt with somebody is gonna be a little pain, but you gotta do what you gotta do. I'm definitely gonna use the flirtatiousness to my advantage."

(cut)

"Going into this, I'm excited at this point. The nerves have passed. All the other stuff is out the window. I wanna get in the game. I can only think and strategize so much until I'm actually there. I'm making myself go crazy. I just wanna be in it, so I can get a clear picture of what I want to do, who I wanna bring in, who's my first little victim; stuff like that. I'm just ready to roll."

Insider odcinek 3:

Punch in the Gut

After just returning from Tribal Council, Mikayla reacts to almost being voted out

"We just got back from Tribal. Christine got voted out. There was a lot of heart on my back in the beginning. Coach definitely summed some stuff up, because people weren't coming out into the open about me. Coach came out and said, 'You guys are talking about Mikalya, blah blah blah,' and they never said they did. Coach is known for his loyalty and being honest. The girls didn't say anything - Stacey and Christine said they never said anything - I'm sitting there, Jeff's like, 'Why are you so calm?' I believe Coach, but I believe the girls. Something's stewing up here. Finally Brandon comes out and says something. That was like a punch in the gut. I thought me and him were tight, know what I mean? We go on one-on-one talks, we go out fishing, we're always going to collect this or that."

(cut)

"I just don't get it. I appreciate it, obviously, otherwise it would be me going tonight, which would have been a smart decision. You have me or Edna, strength-wise, or me and Christina. It just wasn't a smart decision for the team. I guess Coach saw that, off the bat."

(cut)

"I guess Coach is one of my big dogs right now. He's been more honest with me than the people I can say I came in this with."

Insider odcinek 6:

We Couldn't Hit It

Mikayla is frustrated with Upolu losing the immunity/reward challenge.

"Man, the challenge. We totally schooled 'em on the wheelbarrow part."

(cut)

"And unfortunately, on the slingshot, we just couldn't hit it."

(cut)

"I was not expecting that. It was tough at first. The first thing Al[bert] said to me was, 'It's going further than you think. Be easy when you let go.' So I only pulled back halfway, and my first one like flopped. I thought, well, maybe it's halfway for you, full for me. So I got my distance down, started getting my aim down, started aiming up, and the last one I missed by a couple of inches. I was like, alright, I'm getting on it. Next thing, I see out of the corner of my eye just coconuts splattering, and I'm like, <expletive>. All the sudden Jeff's like, 'Five, and six1!' I think everyone was surprised, because they thought it would take us a while in this challenge. This kid was just nailing, nailing, nailing it. It was a surprise to everybody and definitely luck of the draw for them."

Insider odcinek 7 - 2 filmiki:

Secret Scene: Mikayla

Christine is worried by Mikayla's display of physical strength.

Mikayla: It's so much noisier over here.

Christine: Oh, yeah. It's crazy. You think New York City's bad.

Mikayla: It may not be gunshots, and police sirens, and trains, but...

Christine (solo): ...to have Mikayla here this morning, because I was showing her around. I showed her the Polynesian chestnuts, and they were very, very high.

Christine: The pure green ones that are ALL THE WAY UP THERE are good.

Mikayla: I'll get one down. It might take me a few. This isn't my...

(she begins throwing rocks at the tree branches, and finally begins pulling them down to get to the chestnuts)

Christine (solo): Mikayla, being the physical person that she is, started pulling down the tree. And we got a few down. Then again, when she pulled down that branch, I thought, yep, she is definitely a physically strong person. If the duel has anything to do with physical strength, I have to dig really deep to bring it.

(they debate over which chestnuts to bring back)

Mikayla (solo): Coming to Redemption Island has been a bit of a breath of fresh air, I guess you could say. Me and Christine, we did connect. But I'm going into the duel focused. I'm not exactly intimidated by Christine. She has won 4, but I'm younger, and stronger, and I think I'm faster if it's something that's physical. I would think I had the upper hand at this point, but I don't want to be looked at as a failure.

(walking back to their shelter)

Christine: These are honest-to-goodness delicious when they're boiled.

Mikayla: Oh really?

Mikayla: The Day After

Mikayla reflects on her time in the game the day after she lost the duel on Redemption Island.

"What I learned about myself here is I'm a very strong woman, and it definitely intimidates, I think."

(cut)

"Brandon from the beginning was intimidated by me, didn't think he could trust me. He's definitely not used to having a powerful woman around. He's talked about his wife and she's a very yes, whatever you say, passive woman. Me, nuh-uh. If I don't like the way something sounds...he did not like that. And also Coach. Coach noticed that I had an opinion, just like Christine and Stacey, and he did not want it."

(cut)

"I wasn't gonna fall for it, and that's definitely a reason why I'm gone."

(cut)

"From the beginning, the survival aspect was hard for me. Once you get over the hump about not eating, you only get so much at the beginning of the day. You get a banana, you get this and that. Once I got over that, it became the social part. If you talk too much to too many people, and people are looking at you like, 'Oh no, are they trying to figure an alliance out?' Then if you don't talk to too many people, they're like, 'Well, she's not talking to me. She must not be on my side, or not like me.' You're damned if you do and damned if you don't. The social part got to me. At home, if I don't like somebody, I just don't talk to them. Why waste your time with someone you don't like? Being out here, there's people I don't like, and having to talk to them, was like stabbing myself in the eye trying to make conversation."

(cut)

"My favorite part of the game that I actually remember - there was actually two moments. Our first challenge, the basketball thing. It took me a couple of times to get the hang of it, those coconuts were heavy, and I was trying to shoot them like a basketball. I was like, 'I'm gonna have to throw them.' Once I got to throwing them, our thing was just teetering, and I hit the chain with a coconut. It went down, and I saw a flag go up, and I'm like, holy crap, we just won. We just won the first team challenge. I remember turning around and seeing Stacey in mid-air, come up, and tackle me. We are in it. We are in it. I get chills thinking about that. Just seeing her face, their mouths open, screaming, coming at me. Also, the other challenge when we had to take the surfboards and run down. I remember Coach and Edna were up there and they were placing parts of the mask together, and all the sudden I was pulling the last part, trying to figure which way to go next, and I just hear screaming, and I hear Jeff saying, 'Upolo,' and I'm like, 'We just won.' I had no idea we'd won. Everybody's just coming in and I'm like, 'We won.' I wasn't expecting it, I thought we had more to do. Once I started putting the holes through I was like (screams). It was great. It was an amazing moment. We did it, we won. Let's go."

(cut)

"I am so happy with the way I played the game. I never gave in to being a follower. I always stuck to my guns. Obviously I didn't do enough, stay in and kiss people's butts. I don't kiss people's butts, I do not give in, and I'm not a follower. I kept to my morals, I stuck my ground, and love me or hate me, this is who I am. I'm not gonna give into your BS, I'm not gonna believe it, or pretend I do. I just feel..."

(cut)

"People are intimidated by women who know what they want and what they believe in. We're not stupid. Some of us are, and they want to ride coattails all the way to the end, but nobody's gonna give you a million dollars because you never did anything, you never even stuck to your guns, you never even had a voice. If I didn't like something, I talked about it."

(cut)

"I know what I want, and coming out of this, I'm so determined. I'm not gonna - if I want something, I'm gonna go for it. If I can get through this, with no food, barely enough even energy to get me by, where if I stand up, I black out. I have all these great tools at home to make something so great. Don't let it fly by. You're only young once, and I'd hate to be older and think why didn't I do that. I'm never going to regret anything I've done, and I'm just so happy that I played the way my family said. 'You're always going to be a leader, don't give into that BS and be a follower.' So I'm very happy.
